However, the term &#8220;brigands&#8221; is not quite correct; we can call them free spirits, who did not want to bend to the will of royalty. The path is 108 km long and can be walked in 7 days.    <\/p>\n\n<p>The signage is red-white, and everything is well marked, even with signposts showing timings. href=\"https:\/\/camminiditalia.org\/cammini\/via-degli-dei\/\"><strong>Via degli Dei<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"color: initial;\">) cresceva sempre pi\u00f9 in me la voglia di affrontarne un altro.<\/span><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Una settimana fa conosco Luca, amante come me della montagna e delle sfide, decidiamo cos\u00ec di percorrere il cammino dei Briganti, in un solo giorno ed in completa autonomia.  In 5 giorni, tra impegni quotidiani e restrizioni anticovid, riusciamo ad organizzare il tutto: materiale tecnico trail, scarpe bastoncini, alimentazione, orari di partenza e le varie tappe, quest'ultimo punto facilitato dall'ottima organizzazione che sta dietro il <a href=\"https:\/\/camminiditalia.org\/cammini\/cammino-dei-briganti\/\"><strong>Cammino dei Briganti<\/strong><\/a>, che ci ha fornito le <a href=\"https:\/\/camminiditalia.org\/tracce-gps-cosa-sono-e-come-usarle-in-cammino\/\"><strong>tracce GPS<\/strong><\/a> e altre utilissime informazioni. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>[Il Cammino dei Briganti \u00e8 disponibile sull'<a href=\"https:\/\/camminiditalia.org\/app-cammini-d-italia\/\"><strong>App di Cammini d'Italia<\/strong><\/a>]\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Partenza <\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Partenza il giorno 7\/9\/20<br><strong>ore 6.30<\/strong> del mattino, si aggregher\u00e0 a noi anche Federico, incontro previsto davanti al bar in piazzetta a Sante Marie dove ritireremo mappe in cartaceo e il salvacondotto del cammino.<br><strong>Ore 6.50<\/strong>, pronti e via si parte, \"con calma che i km sono molti!\" <br>Direzione Santo Stefano, rimango subito colpito dai colori che ci regala questa stagione. Il d'orato e l'arancione con le loro svariate sfumature danno colore al fogliame che ricopre i sentieri lungo il percorso. Pensiero fisso di questi primi km, la tappa pi\u00f9 dura il Lago della Duchessa.<br>Prima per\u00f2 era giusto e doveroso carpire tutto quello che ci avrebbero regalato: gli stupendi paesini come Val de Varri, Poggiovalle Villerose, Spedino e Cartore.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Ore 11.25<\/strong>, Cartore apriva le porte al Lago della Duchessa raggiungibile per\u00f2 attraverso due percorsi. Dopo un pit-stop per rifocillarsi e decidere il da farsi, attacchiamo con ferocia (agonistica) la variante (CdB 4 a\/b) che attraversa il Vallone di Fua e Vallone del Cieco, meno chilometri e pi\u00f9 dislivello, una bella impettata, ma il tutto \u00e8 alleviato dalla bellezza del bosco di faggi ed aceri che si infilava tra le rocce. Raggiunta la fine del discesone, Bocca di Teve andiamo in direzione Rosciolo dei Marsi, cavalcando il confine tra Lazio e Abruzzo. Siamo a met\u00e0 percorso e le gambe si sentono appesantite dalle salite ma soprattutto dalle discese. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Raggiungiamo Rosciolo dei Marsi e messo altro timbro al Salvacondotto puntiamo verso Magliano dei Marsi, il pi\u00f9 grande e popolato della zona, sempre sotto la presenza imponente del Monte Velino che acquisiva varie colorazioni col veloce tramontare del sole, passando da un rosa con velature di viola ad un blu cobalto per poi sparire nel buio. Subito dopo Sorbo e poi ancora San Donato e Scanzano tutto d'un fiato, stringendo i denti.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diventa buio<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Ore 17.30<\/strong>, \u00e8 ora di accendere le frontali. Sante Marie sembra sempre pi\u00f9 vicina, tratto finale reso pi\u00f9 difficile dalla notte anticipata e dalle giornate sempre pi\u00f9 corte.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Arrivo!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Percorrenza dura e rallentata dalla caccia ai segni del percorso, ma che alla fine ci ha visto vittoriosi con il nostro arrivo<strong> alle 20.40<\/strong> circa davanti al municipio di Sante Marie. Gambe pesanti, cuore pieno e testa leggera. Ritorno a casa con mille ricordi mille sensazioni, come la gentilezza e l'accoglienza di tutti gli abitanti incontrati lungo il percorso <br>La bellezza e la signorilit\u00e0 di sua maest\u00e0 Velino <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Ma soprattutto il ridimensionamento, la leggerezza in me che solo un cammino immerso nella natura e lontano dall'oggi ti pu\u00f2 You go all the way through the beautiful Val di Teve, until you exit the valley. if you turn right you go to Cartore in about a kilometer. if you want to stretch another 8 km, making the STAGE 29 km (be careful, it is very long) you can go directly to Rosciolo.   <\/p>\n<h2><strong>Ring variant from Cartore<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There are <strong>two <\/strong><strong>possibilities<\/strong>, an easier one of 12 km (ascent from Val di Fua and descent from Prati di San Leonardo) and one of 17 km (to Val di Teve), but much longer in elevation gain and only for experienced hikers. Both possibilities are described in detail in the book. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Third hypothesis<\/strong> (not described in the guidebook): from Cartore it is possible to make a variant off the Cammino, climbing Mount Velino (2489 m), sleeping at Rifugio Sebastiani and returning by another path to Santa Maria in Valle, in two days of walking. Summer variant for very trained walkers who are well prepared to move on difficult, and poorly marked, trails. The terrain is high mountain, severe and airy. It then continues downhill to <strong data-start=\"239\" data-end=\"261\">Magliano de&#8217; Marsi<\/strong>, the largest and best-equipped center along the entire route.<br data-start=\"327\" data-end=\"330\">From here the route continues towards <strong data-start=\"365\" data-end=\"377\">Scurcola<\/strong> (or, if you choose the variant, towards <strong data-start=\"417\" data-end=\"426\">Sorbo<\/strong>) until it reaches <strong data-start=\"459\" data-end=\"471\">Le Crete<\/strong>. <\/p>\n"},{"status":false,"title":"STAGE 07: CASALE LE CRETE - SANTE MARIE","text":"<p><strong>Departure<\/strong>: Casale le Crete<br \/>\n<strong>Arrival<\/strong>: Sante Marie<br \/>\n<strong>Distance<\/strong>: 21 km<br \/>\n<strong>Height difference<\/strong>: +570 m \/ &#8211; 480 m<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"78\" data-end=\"467\">From <strong data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"93\">Le Crete<\/strong> the route continues along scenic dirt roads that lead to <strong data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"181\">San Donato<\/strong>, where you climb to the ruins of an ancient castle. From here it descends to <strong data-start=\"257\" data-end=\"269\">Scanzano<\/strong> and then, still following small roads and paths, it crosses <strong data-start=\"331\" data-end=\"342\">Tubione<\/strong> and finally <strong data-start=\"352\" data-end=\"367\">Sante Marie<\/strong>, the final STAGE of the Cammino, where it is possible to collect one&#8217;s <strong data-start=\"436\" data-end=\"464\">certificate of completion<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"474\" data-end=\"488\">Variants<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"490\" data-end=\"707\">The route has several variants, all of which are included in the GPS tracks available free of charge on the official website. These alternate routes are marked with <strong data-start=\"653\" data-end=\"681\">white and blue paint<\/strong> and special signs. <\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"762\">Villerose &#8211; Grotti &#8211; Torano &#8211; Spedino variant.<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"1678\">The detour to <strong data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"793\">Grotti<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"806\">Torano<\/strong> begins shortly after the bridge over the Salto River that leads to Villerose. Here you leave the main route of the Cammino dei BRIGANTI, which bends to the left, and instead continue straight along an obvious dirt road that goes up the river until you reach the asphalt road.<br data-start=\"1083\" data-end=\"1086\">New white-blue signage accompanies this section. When you reach the asphalt road, turn right, cross a bridge and reach a drinking fountain on the right. From here take the dirt road opposite, lined in part with oak trees, which in about half an hour leads to the entrance to <strong data-start=\"1371\" data-end=\"1381\">Grotti<\/strong>. Passing a small bridge on the left and turning right, you enter the village. To return to the main route, simply retrace the same route in the opposite direction.     <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"2156\">From <strong data-start=\"1683\" data-end=\"1693\">Grotti<\/strong> the path continues along the river on the right bank until it reaches <strong data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1784\">Torano<\/strong>, crossing it to the center of the village.
